Automobile
Accidents
In the year 2001, there were 6,323,000 automobile accidents
in this country. Over 2,000,000 injuries were reported in
those crashes. Almost 40,000 people were killed nationwide
in those crashes. Of those approximate 40,000 fatalities,
3,779 people in Texas were killed in those crashes. This represents
17.46 deaths per 100,000 people in the State of Texas.
When you or a family member is involved in an automobile
accident, many important questions arise regarding what you
should do to prevent a potentially devastating loss. Who pays
for the medical bills? Who pays for the car repairs and rental
expenses? Should I get a medical checkup after the accident?
How do I know if the other driver has insurance or whether
I have enough insurance?
Additionally, the exact cause of an auto accident is not
always obvious. A minor auto accident can turn into a serious
accident if the automobile is defective in design, or contains
defective seatbelts, a defective gas tank, or is a defective
automobile in some other respect. Our attorneys have experience
in litigating defective design automobile cases against such
giants as General Motors.
We have collected millions of dollars on behalf of clients
who have suffered severe injuries such as burn injuries, brain
injuries, spinal cord injuries, leg amputations, and other
serious personal injuries as a result of auto accidents, truck
accidents, and motorcycle accidents. We have also handled
auto accidents throughout the United States
and have the resources to effectively represent clients wherever
they may be located.
